Brief Description:  LH outboard skins riveted

Again inspected the internal structure as satisfactory to close up the structure. Completed riveting LH outboard wing skins. Spent a lot of time triming off mandrels on countersunk rivets. Where possible, used a drift to push the mandrels below the surface level.

Trial fit the elevator and pushrod. Still good alignment on the hinge, was able to push the hinge pin in most of the way by hand. The pushrod aligned well. Will need a flat washer between the rod end and elevator horn to get the rod exactly centered on the skin cutout, although it just clears without the washer.

Riveted a cable clamp to the fwd inboard rib cutout to secure the leading edge wire conduit. The elevator pivot assembly is in this area so didn't want anything flopping around in there.

Countersunk the aileron counterbalance assembly and installed MS24694-S70 machine screws, AN960-10L washers, and AN364-1032A thin locknuts so the assembly will fit through the 2" wide rear spar cutout. Needed to make a slight offset bend on the counterbalance plates for clearance between the nuts and skin cutout.

About 200 hours spent on this wing.
